What is Telkomsel Mobile Network Verification?
TAP – MNV is a solution that requires the Telecommunications function to validate user sessions based on headers (the value can be just MSISDN or also an ID consisting of MSISDN, IMEI and IMSI merging) obtained from the device/merchant.
How does the MNV solution verify?
The TAP – MNV solution works in the background and is based on real-time mobile network operator information. The authentication process is carried out using a URL that must be accessed by the carrier network. The URL is only known by the device/merchant and TAP – MNV thus eliminating the interaction factor by the user.
Is the use of this method limited to the Telkomsel courier network only?
No, the use of this method can still be done even if the user uses WiFi or even an operator other than Telkomsel.
Does this method require the user to access the given URL?
No, this method does not involve the user at all. Unlike the OTP method which requires the user to enter the OTP code, the device/merchant in the TAP method
– MNV directly authenticates the given URL.
What are the advantages of using the TAP – MNV method over OTP?
- Seamless Authentication: the authentication process does not involve the user at all
- Secure Authentication: no security information is received by the user, eliminating the possibility of man-in-the-middle-attack and social engineering.
- Easier to Develop: does not require a lot of resources for its development because the authentication process occurs through the carrier network.
How is the authentication process done, if the user is using Wifi?
If the user uses wifi, the MNV solution will automatically switch to cellular data to carry out the authentication process, so that the authentication process will continue even though the user is connected to the Internal WiFi.
Can the authentication process still be carried out if the user does not have a data plan?
No, in order for the authentication process to be carried out, the user must have a data plan.
Is user data safe with this solution?

How do I get this service?
This program is only valid for Telkomsel enterprise customers.
For Call Centers:
a. Verify whether the contacting number is a corporate customer.
b. If Yes, then it is directed to be able to contact the AM assigned to the company.
For Account Manager
a. The request for activation of the Telkomsel Mobile Network Verification service is submitted by the Corporate PIC (whether that has an engagement or not) in writing via email/letter from the Enterprise Customer to AM.
b. The request for activation of the Telkomsel Mobile Network Verification service from Enterprise Customers is sent in writing to the sales team through the existing order mechanism, namely the Enterprise Management System (EMS). The application has been approved by an official at least at the level of General Manager (GM) of the sales function and submitted to an official at least at the level of GM in charge of the Product and Delivery (EBO/ESD) function.
