When does a merchant need to choose PNV over another method of authentication?
Merchants have the prerogative right to pick the user's authentication time, the authentication method, and the fallback method they use. For examples:
1. A merchant MAY choose to authenticate a user in some of these conditions:
When they are re-login after being idle for a long time (days/weeks/months)
If the change of phone is detected.
if the user only clears data in their phone
etc.
2. A merchant may use Telkomsel PNV for a Registration use case, Login use case, or both. (currently, only login and Registration use cases are allowed by Telkomsel)
3. A merchant may choose the method and the orders of authentication.
